- BABA: Haan! O ka ɲi kosɛbɛ! À sigilen bɛ min? [2]
- ABI: New York.
- BABA: À yɔrɔ ka jan kojugu!
- ABI:  Sira ka jan nka à banbali tɛ! [3]
- BABA: Siga t'à la. À bɛ na tuma jumɛn?
- ABI: Dɔgɔkun nata! [4]
- BABA: À selen, aw bɛna mun kɛ?
- ABI: N ma an ka ko kɛtaw dɔn fɔlɔ.

- BABA: Don't you miss your friends?
- ABI: But of course I miss them! But my friend is coming! [1]
- BABA: Wow! That's really great! Where does she live? [2]
- ABI: New York.
- BABA: It is super far!
- ABI:  The road (between them) is long, but it's not endless! [3]
- BABA: There's no doubt about that. When will she come?
- ABI: Next week! [4]
- BABA: Once she has arrived, what will you do?
- ABI: I don't know "our things for doing" [as in, "the things that we will do"] yet.
