SITA: I ye karan kɛla? [1]
ABI: Ɔnhɔn. Karan ne. N ye maninkakan karanna. [2]
SITA: Maninkakan?!
ABI: Ɔnhɔn kɛ! [3]
SITA: I kà à sɛbɛli lɔn? [4]
ABI: Dɔɔnin. I ye à sɛbɛli lɔnna?
SITA: Ɔn-ɔn. N m'à karan.
ABI: À karan man gbɛlɛn.
SITA: K'à sɛbɛ, o ka nɔɔn? [5]
ABI: Kosɛbɛ! À fɛlɛ! N di sɛbɛli kɛ. [She writes a few words in Maninka]

ABI: Tuɲa le. Karan ka ɲi.
SITA: Are you studying? [1]
ABI: Yes. It's studies. I am studying Maninka. [2]
