These dialogs cover situations where people ask about another person and exchange information about them.
1 - Alimata Facɛ
SITUATION: Seyida is curious about his friend's Alimata's father. He speaks with Musa about him.
SEYIDU: Musa, i ni tile!
MUSA: Nba! Seyidu, hɛɛrɛ tilenna?
SEYIDU: Dɔɔnin-dɔɔnin. Nka n bɛ mɔgɔ dɔ le kibaru nɔ fɛ.
MUSA: O mɔgɔ bɛ jɔn ye?
SEYIDU: Alimata facɛ. I tun b'à lɔn kɛ?
MUSA: Kosɛbɛ kɛ! N fa teri dɔ tun don.
MUSA: Nba! Seyidu, is the day going peacefully?
SEYIDU: It's going alright (lit. "small-small"). But I am looking for news of someone.
MUSA: Who is that?
SEYIDU: Alimata's father. You knew him, right?
MUSA: But of course! He was my father's friend.
2 - Alimata Facɛ Tuguni
SITUATION: Mamadu is curious about his friend Abi's father. He asks an elder, Siyaka, about him.
MAMADU: I tun bɛ Alimata facɛ lɔn kɛ?
SIYAKA: Kosɛbɛ kɛ! N fa teri dɔ tun don.
MAMADU: À tun siginin bɛ min?
SIYAKA: Bouaké yan kɛ.
SIYAKA: Really well, man! He was my one of my dad's friends.
MAMADU: Where did he live?
SIYAKA: Here in Bouaké, man!
3 - Sidi Facɛ
SITUATION: Musa is curious about his friend Sidi's father. He asks Seyidu about him.
MUSA: I bɛ Sidi facɛ lɔn kɛ?
SEYIDU: Ɔnhɔn, mɔgɔ bɛɛ kà à lɔn yan.
MUSA: À tun bɛ mun- mun le baarakɛla ye?
SEYIDU: Mobilibolila tun don. À tun ka ɲi kosɛbɛ.
SEYIDU: Yeah, everyone here knows him!
MUSA: What (kind of) worker was he?
SEYIDU: He was a driver. He was really nice.
4 - Mamadu Dɔgɔcɛ
NOTE: This dialogue sounds off because it has a male actor playing a female character.
SITUATION: Musa is sitting with Abi. He sees someone that he recognizes pass by.
MUSA: Jɔn le bɛ yan fɛ nin ye?
ABI: Mamadu dɔgɔcɛ don. À tɔgɔ bɛ Mori.
MUSA: À siginin bɛ min?
ABI: Korhogo. À bɛ gwakɛla le ye.
ABI: That's Mamadu's little brother. His name is Mori.
MUSA: Where does he live?
ABI: Korhogo. He's a cook.
5 - Mori Fa
SITUATION: Musa is sitting with Sidi. Someone passes by that he is curious about.
MUSA: Sidi, jɔn le bɛ yan fɛ nin ye?
SIDI: Mori fa don. À siginin bɛ Man.
MUSA: I b'à lɔn kɛ?
SIDI: Ɔnhɔn, mɔgɔ bɛɛ kà à lɔn. Mobilibolila ɲuman tun don.
SIDI: That's Mori's dad. He lives in Man.
MUSA: You know him, right?
SIDI: Yeah, everyone knows him. He was a good driver (when he worked as one).
6 - Usuman
SITUATION: Musa is curious about Usuman, a guy that he met recently. He asks his friend Baba about him.
MUSA: Baba, hɛɛrɛ tilenna?
BABA: Nba! Ele dun?
MUSA: N ka kɛnɛ. He Baba, i kà Usuman lɔn kɛ?
BABA: Ɔnhɔn, à bɛ mobilibɔla ye Tuba.
MUSA: Mobilbolila ɲuman don?
BABA: Kosɛbɛ!
BABA: Nba! (Yes.) And you?
MUSA: I am healthy. Hey Baba, you know Usuman right?
BABA: Yeah, he was a driver in Tuba.
MUSA: Was he a good driver?
BABA: Definitely!
